RGB Holdings allocates dedicated capital to fund research projects that advance the frontiers of our target sectors. This funding operates through a structured framework, enabling us to support everything from early-stage academic inquiry to applied industrial research programmes with commercial deployment timelines.

A genuine innovation — not an incremental feature. Ideally with demonstrated proof-of-concept and a credible pathway to IP protection. We assess technical risk honestly.
Founding team
Deep domain expertise, intellectual honesty about what is known and unknown, and the commercial instinct to translate technical capability into market traction.
Commercial application
A specific, identifiable problem in one of our target sectors — with a customer base that has both the need and the purchasing authority to buy the solution.
Market timing
Evidence that the market is ready for the innovation — whether through regulatory drivers, procurement signals, or structural changes in the competitive landscape.
Capital efficiency
A clear, milestone-based funding requirement — with a credible plan for what each tranche of capital will prove and how it advances the business toward commercial self-sufficiency.

08 — HOW TO APPLY
Submitting a Proposal to RGB Holdings
RGB Holdings reviews all credible early-stage investment and R&D funding proposals submitted to our innovation team. We are responsive, transparent about our criteria, and — when we cannot invest — constructive in explaining why. All submissions are treated in strict confidence.
What to Include in Your Proposal:
Technology summary
A clear description of what you have built, what problem it solves, and what makes it genuinely novel. Accessible language preferred — we do not require jargon.
Stage of development
Current TRL or equivalent. What has been demonstrated, what remains to be proven, and the key technical risks you are managing.
Target market
The specific sector, customer type, and geography you are addressing — and evidence that customers in that market have a real, funded need.
Team
Who is building this, their relevant background, and any advisers or academic partnerships that validate the technical approach.
Funding requirement
How much you are seeking, what it will achieve, and the structure you are proposing — equity, grant, co-development, or a combination.
ESG considerations
Any environmental, social, or governance dimensions to the technology or its application — positive or negative — and how you are managing them.
All submissions are reviewed by our divisional R&D leads and investment team. We aim to respond to all complete submissions within ten working days of receipt. RGB Holdings does not use or share submitted intellectual property without the proposer’s written consent.
